I am always inspired by Illamasqua, their collections and photos - and of course Alex Box herself. The most recent idea of theirs that I fell for was the speckled eyeliner look seen in the I'mperfection Collection promo photos. Such a fun look to pair with a colourful lip  and a simple way of spicing up your regular eyeliner!

Tip: Add a colour of choice (or as many as you want!) to your black & white speckled eyeliner look for an extra pop!

Products used:
♦ OCC "Harlot" Lip Tar.
♦ Black liquid eyeliner applied with a small separate eyeliner brush.
♦ Lime Crime "Lunar Sea" Uniliner (although I would recommend you to find a white liner from another brand - or face paint - since this one only stays on looking good for a short, short while. It was the product I had closest to me at the moment and I was just taking a photo of the look before washing it all off anyway. If I would wear this look out to a masquerade or something similar - or you're simply just looking for a white liquid eyeliner - then I would most certainly recommend you to look elsewhere. Please do let me know if you find a good one - trying to find one myself!

Studio Fix Fluid NW13, Studio Fix Fluid NC15


As I've mentioned before I've been loving the MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation for quite some time now but fairly recently discovered that even the NC15 is a tad too dark during these winter months so I was really excited when I heard they were releasing even lighter shades. I've heard of many people who had problems wearing this simply because even the lightest shades were way too dark. Now they carry both NW10(!) and NW13 (which I am showing in the photo above). Perfect for all of us fair ladies! My only wish is that they also would have added an NC13 but by mixing the NW13 with my NC15 I am able to get my perfect "winter shade". Thrilled to see an improved range of shades and can't wait to get the Snow White-ish NW10.

Fair skin and looking for a medium coverage foundation? Pop by your nearest MAC counter and ask for a sample of these new shades or have them try it out on your face right on the spot.

Even though it turned out my mom knows more about "Archie's Girls" than I do, I have been looking forward to this collection a lot. A lot. And even though personally I prefer shades with cool undertones on my face, I do love a good peachy colour and that's why I - yes, honestly - screamed a little when I recieved the "Flatter Me" Pearlmatte Face Powder and the "Betty Bright" [light vibrant peach] lipstick. The lipstick is bright as the name tells but still not too frightening if you're not used to a major amount of colour.. And for the face powder, the colour of the hearts turned up more on the skin than I would have imagined but it's still quite sheer and buildable - just how I like it.  It might not show up a lot on dark skin tones but it will probably work as a highlighter. For me it's a blush and highlighter combined. I love it!

I am desperate to get my hands on the Cream Soda blush as well - the name itself being a just as big reason as the colour. Yes, the nerd in me has spoke.. Bare with me folks. And happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Never thought a green lipstick would feel so natural to wear. Om formulan på Lime Crime's två senaste läppstift ändå vore som deras tidigare så skulle jag bära det här all the time.. men det är för "löst" för min smak och blir därför fläckigt på läpparna efter ett tag vilket blir ett problem när det kommer till en sån här färg. Jag älskar både färgen och idén men inte lika mycket den färdiga produkten. Första försöket kan dock inte alltid bli helt lyckat och med mindre företag som detta så bör man alltid ge en extra chans till förbättring så jag håller tummarna att de ändrar formulan.. för nog är färgen värd att kämpa lite för.  Fantastisk.  Until then börjar jag en ny jakt: hitta ett mörkgrönt med satinformula. Tipsa gärna om ni har förslag!

Tips: Om du gillar märken som t.ex. OCC, Lime Crime, Sugarpill eller Crown Brush men föredrar att handla från webshoppar närmare Sverige än de USA-baserade så tycker jag att du ska kolla in Love-makeup.co.uk. Jag beställde 6 items i höstas och fick hem dem mycket välpaketerade på bara 3 dagar. Underbart!

Är det något jag gillar med sminkpenslar så är det när de fungerar till flera olika saker och ändå är väldigt bra till var och en av dem. Det finns alltid märken - både billiga och dyrare - som kommer ut med redskap som ska fungera till flera syften men ofta har jag märkt att de ändå fungerar bäst till just en sak. #208 från MAC är inte en av dem.  Jag har aldrig hört MAC själva (eller någon annan heller för den delen) påstå att detta är en multitaskingpensel - det är den åsikt jag själv bildat efter att ha använt den till att fylla i ögonbryn, måla eyeliner och mer "artistic lines" m.m.

Now, I know att priserna på MAC's penslar ibland kan få en att rygga till lite men det här är enligt mig en av de som truly är värt prislappen på 215 kronor.
